Many people fear they are too late.
Too old.
Too damaged.
Too far behind.
Too defined by what they did,
or failed to do.
Many lives become smaller
because people believe
it is too late to begin again.
No life moves exactly as planned.
Time lost is real.
Opportunities missed are real.
Some doors do close.
Nothing here asks you to pretend otherwise.
But a delayed life is still a life.
A changed path is still a path.
And your future remains unwritten
while you are still alive.
Regret becomes wisdom
when it changes what you choose next.
Regret becomes suffering
when it convinces you nothing new can begin.
The same memory, carried two ways.
You do not always choose what you regret.
You can choose which way you carry it.
And you are allowed to begin again, while you are still here.
Beginning again is not starting from nothing.
You carry the scars, the memory, the consequences.
You also carry what they taught you;
knowledge, and a strength you did not have before.
The old life is not erased.
It becomes ground.
